My choice as a first timer was the garlic noodles. The portion was perfect and the bowl was tasty. From my initial impression, I will definitely return and try other items on the menu. Everything looks great. View all feedback.
What Jess Harber doesn't like about An Nam Vietnamese Grill:
the place is 100% misleading! the prices we have calculated do not correspond to the prices specified in the restaurant or in the menu. I was told 5.50 for big bona and accused 6. it took 10 minutes to even welcome me and my order taken. eating is not worth it at all. cheap for what they get! there are better Vietnamese food in sudbury and other neighboring cities/city. My daughter and I were in the area for an ice skating camp and stumbled upon this hidden gem during a Google search. I tried the colorful and aromatic street tacos while my daughter and I shared the spring roll. She opted for the noodles salad with shrimp. We decided to treat ourselves with the brown sugar tea with boba. The tacos were amazing and made me believe in the possibility of finding authentic Vietnamese cuisine outside of the country. My daughter loved her salad and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The spring roll was one of the best I've ever had. We ordered and paid at the counter, and our food was quickly prepared and served with a smile. The staff were friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy serving authentic Vietnamese food. I highly recommend paying them a visit if you're in the area.
I am feeling disappointed as this will be my final visit to this restaurant that I once loved. I used to appreciate it for its affordable prices, quick service, and tasty food. However, this time a simple sandwich and ice cream cost me nearly $20, which is more than what it would cost to make it at home. I had high hopes for this place, considering there are limited Vietnamese options in the area. I will savor every bite during my last meal here, but I cannot justify spending so much on a street food sandwich.
The boba at this restaurant was terrible. We went out of our way to get it, but the person preparing it didn't seem knowledgeable and it tasted bad.

A nam was really good earlier when they first opened, and then gradually, in the run of time, the quality started down. today's order was quite disappointing. we stick to the basics pho, Chicken/Rice shells, and spring rolls. the pho was extra oily/fatty today. the fat layer on the chicken broth was thick and very well visible. even my daughter noticed the fatness while eating the suppe. the quality of chicken and rice bowls has decreased, but this relatiw new yellow rice is terrible. again, less healthy, tasteless and overboiled. Previously, there were brown or simple white rice as options...what happened to it? Finally, the garnel spring rollers were only sad to say the least. if I wasn't mistaken, there were earlier mint leaves or basilikum leaves in the roll for taste. today were only noodles, carrots, devastated salat, a hunk of the gurke together with three tiny garnels divided in the longitudinal direction between the two rollers. that are 1.5 small garnels per roll! only curious if this place has changed its own. I usually don't write critiken, but after today's disappointment I had to say something. ?
