Roxy's Diner - Marksville
Roxy's Diner
Description
Dining at this restaurant presents a mixed bag of experiences. While the food often garners praise, highlighting items like seafood gumbo and meatloaf, service issues plague the establishment. Guests frequently report unhelpful and unfriendly staff, long waits for seating, and confusion over the unusual dining setup that requires pre-ordering. Despite these frustrations, some patrons have enjoyed attentive service and flavorful meals, suggesting potential for improvement. Regulars lament the inconsistency, with cold dishes and unappetizing options prompting them to reconsider future visits. Overall, those willing to overlook service flaws might still find a satisfying meal within its walls.

I have never tasted mashed potatoes that were as terrible as the ones at this restaurant. They were even worse than instant potatoes. The only things that tasted good were the side of corn and the roll. The catfish was not real catfish. I used to enjoy going here for a girl's night out, but unfortunately, I will not be recommending it to my friends. This is my first negative review ever. I hope the owner makes some improvements. Service: Dine in
The food and service were excellent, and the restaurant was clean. You order your food, grab your drink and utensils, and then choose a table where your meal will be brought to you.
Roxy was amazing! The food was delicious and the staff were cool. I had breakfast, meatloaf, and burgers, all of which were great. If you're in Markville, make sure to stop by Roxy's.
Well, we decided not to drive and walked over to Roxy's. They kinda lost me because you order at a little cashiers station get a number and go find a place to sit. We both got a meatloaf dinner. The meatloaf was spicy and a nice portion. The corn had been in the pot a long time because it was flat and tasteless. Mashed potatoes were stone cold. I imagine if we had gotten a burger it would have been ok. They got fried sea food, and such. It's clean, service is ok. If they were still open 24/7 this would be a nice spot.
This diner offers a unique concept that is not typical of traditional restaurants. Customers pay first, then order like at a buffet before enjoying a sit-down dining experience. Despite initial doubts due to reviews, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The staff was excellent and the food was both hot and delicious. We will definitely be returning and want to thank the staff for their hard work on Christmas Eve.
