Nanny's - Marksville

We have been to Nanny’s many times over the years and have always enjoyed the taste and quality of the food, along with friendly service. However, on this visit, the vegetables were cold, the bread was dry, the gumbo was lukewarm, and all lacked the taste that their food once had. And to top things off, we saw a roach crawling on the floor near our table. Possibly if the food was hot, it would have tasted better. Upon arriving at the noon hour, we noticed that the parking lot had few vehicles, and once inside we saw only two customers. Haven’t been to this restaurant in a couple of years; possibly it is under new management. We very disappointed in our visit to Nanny’s and will not go back.

Not sure what happened to my original review...but n e ways...So my family and I are long time locals, I use to go here every weekend with my folks as a child into my teens, Nanny's holds a lot of precious memories for me, the food is always great and staff are always friendly

Nice quiet lunch with my husband. The catfish lunch special tasted great and my husband said, that was a damn good burger.

Went order my daughter some fried shrimp it had a fried roach with it batter and fried and the cooked said it wasn't a roach it was a shrimp really but he gave me that meal for free check your food roaches in the food.

Hamburger steak was good. Wouldn't probably go out of my way to come here again though.
