On a Sunday lunch in September, the whole sippe, grandma, grandpa, child and cone. Thank God was reserved, others stood for a while. I haven't experienced that since GDR times. 10.04.2012, our short holiday in Leipzig begins with the visit of the restaurant Seeterrasse am Cospudener See. A beautiful restaurant on the lake with a terrace built in the lake and a comb for the accommodation of sailboats. Near seeterrasse-cospuden.de. We're 4.5 people, my parents, my wife, our child and me. The service staff welcomes us very friendly and leads us to a table on the terrace in the water. The service was very attentive and brought us a children's seat and a bowl of water for Otis (the dog mentioned). At sunset we could see the menu in our Martinis. This is relatively clear, but shows a selection for many flavors. (A hint, the breakfast card and the ambience that the lake offers is certainly a successful combination to start the day) We have chosen the following dishes: Main course: Ochsenbrust with horse cream liver cheese with potato tamph chicken breast with freshly fed Mediterranean vegetables Pigslendchen with band noodles (my dish) (positive is to mention that there are some dishes as small and large portions) Dessert: 4 times apple strudel The main dishes were served simultaneously and freshly prepared, but only warm. On the main courses, I can say that they cost the price accordingly, but don't say anything special. The dishes looked very appealing and the plates were not overloaded. My food corresponded to my idea, the band noodles and also the meat was at the point where I could imagine that it could also go hotter (we did not complain about it). We enjoyed a 2011 Riesling cabinet, which was nicely cold and very mouthful. After we had eaten the main courses, our smallest attention asked. Here the comb invited for a small walk. When we came back to the table, the dessert was served. This was a jump to the main course, the apple strudel saw itself made and did not taste after mass production (if it should be, then the kitchen has a good trick in preparation). There were 4 espressos as a final. Conclusion: If you want to combine a pleasant ambience with a normal meal at the prices adapted to the ambience, the Cospuden lake terrace is well removed. A friendly and attentive service completes the good overall impression.

In the middle of the week, spit the Cossi: the sunny path along the north beach to the pier 1. The fantastic blue (from the water and the sky) brings warming holiday memories. A beautiful place found at the fireplace. There are also two shepherds; a port has pushed us. The view of the lake is free and wide. You lose, the soul breathes vigorously. The other senses are also pampered: the food is excellent (Wild mushroom soup and then an Ingwerbread mousse). Short break from the finest. On Sunday after that again there. The lake was just as beautiful, but it was full (still the way to the pier 1). We happy skiers got the fireplace back and looked at the people on the terrace as they were hanging on a sausage and a glowing wine to not be able to lift off the distance.

Beautiful view Yes. Beautiful ambience Yes. Good food NO. Rarely eaten so badly! 3 tests 3 cases. Apron meat. And even the tomato soup seems to come out of the bag. Too bad that one rests solely on the exclusivity of the site and did not recognize the sense of good gastronomy: to create a kitchen that impresses the guest with its ability and skills and fascinates the culinary delights. Conclusion: Because of the water-outview or a refreshment drink, I find myself back here at larger distances, but in no way because of the food therefore the actual inventiveness of a restaurant.
