Wonton Hut

Description

The Wonton Hut in Markham offers a limited menu of wonton soup and noodles, with decent wontons but prices slightly higher than competitors. Despite some inconsistency and lack of improvement noted by diners, the broth and noodles stand out as the restaurant's strengths. Fresh shrimp in dishes and a bustling lunchtime crowd indicate satisfied customers overall, with some even comparing the food to authentic Hong Kong wonton shops. While service may be lacking, the delicious food, particularly the shrimp wonton soup, makes it a recommended stop for those craving a taste of classic wonton dishes.

A very limited menu here at the Wonton Hut. Pretty much just wonton soup, noodles, dry or wet, with a few of extras offered to add to your soup. No BBQ meats. The wontons are decent, but are they really worth devoting the whole Hut to? Pretty much cash only as well. A lot of places in Markham don't seem to take visa....

Very good wontons and noodles. Beef brisket has good flavor but a bit tough. Fish paste 'balls' has too much flour and tasted bland. Good fast service.

One sip of the wonton broth and a bite into the noodles, you'll agree this is where their strength is! Although their wontons were good, they were much less impressive than those you could get from the other more famous wonton restaurant in the area! Next time I'm in town, I'd definitely try out some of their other noodle dishes.

We tried the signature noodle dish at this restaurant which usually comes with only a few vegetables, but here they were missing so we ordered an extra side of vegetables. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, not too soft. They used fresh, medium-sized shrimp in the dish which added to the texture. The taste was good and we found the price to be slightly higher than average. The restaurant was busy during lunchtime, indicating a steady flow of customers. Overall, we would recommend this place.

Better than HK, more serving and much cheaper. Just the restaurant in Toronto. wool chai compared is garbage
