Came here in the late afternoon and there was still a great amount of buns selection. The staff was friendly and the store was clean. Their cakes are also really delicious. View all feedback.
What Anthony Lam doesn't like about Saint Germain Bakery:
Their bakery quality of this store are not as good as the 1st week of grand opening. They are all over cooked, A lot of burned mark on the bun. Especially the sweet almond croissant. View all feedback.
Buns and macaroons are very good, but I would avoid the lobster roll. Cooking in air-fryer while customer waits is not up to restaurant standards. Queue system. Could be improved with another separator as it gets chaotic at busy times. Will give them another chance next visit to mall.
Can only speak for the buns they're stale and stingy on the fillings, high on empty tasteless carbs a reincarnation of Ebenezer Scrooge as a bun. They were totally overpriced and so not worth it. The store was extremely crowded so I stopped by to pick up a few buns to snack on with others while shopping at Markville Mall, thinking the food would be good due to the tons of people purchasing buns. Big mistake, I should have read the Google reviews for the buns. The bread was stale and the fillings were paltry. I'm trying to eat healthier so if I'm going to grab a bun I expect it to be worth the empty carbs from a taste perspective. The buns were so bad that, knowing what I know now, I wouldn't eat them even if they were free. Note to self don't be a sheeple and follow the crowd. Ended up buying some pastries from one of the stores downstairs which was way tastier, just to get rid of the bad taste left behind from St. Germain's. Go for quality elsewhere it's worth it.

Delicious baked goods including buns with fillings, breads, and the most beautiful cakes with exotic flavours that I miss like mango, rose, passion fruit. The cakes are the star for me, especially because they’re not overly sweet. You can truly enjoy the flavour of the fruits and the softness of the cake.
When it comes to portuguese tarts I feel this place does it best, I'm usually getting a half dozen from here. Nice variety of buns as well albeit a little pricey. My favourites are the curry and chicken ones. The cakes are also amazing, not overly sweet and whole cakes are ready to purchase same-day on the spot if you're in a rush.
