Red Rose Garden Tavern - Markham

I regularly visit Red Rose Garden for lunch during the week. There are a variety of lunch specials, all with large portions and a more than reasonable price. The food is better than average and the staff friendly and accommodating. You have to try the lunch special if you are in the area.

My friend introduced me to the place. While the decor is out of date, I felt it added character. I enjoyed the dishes while a bit greasy, it was still flavorful and had me craving for more! The staff needs to smile more and stop reading newspaper when they have customers! Other than that...highly recommend!

We thought maybe it was an off day or twoo but it happened repeatedly and we no longer pick up food from this establishment. The episodes in question involve re-cooked tough chicken, cold entrees with congealed fat and staples...yes staples in the food itself.

The Red Rose Garden Tavern impressed me with the quality of food. I expected typical over-salted and uninspired fare. Don't get me wrong, it was definitely Canadian Chinese food, but pleasant. The fried stuff was not too heavy with old oil. It was lighter and tasty with nice sweet and sour and lemon sauces. The chicken fried rice was nice, again not too over the top salty. I enjoyed the cashew nut chicken. The beef mushroom vegetable dish was really nice, especially the button mushrooms! The prices are more than reasonable for the quantity of food you receive. The staff was very helpful to my grandmother who placed the order and delivered the food nice and hot. It was a delightful family meal that was enjoyed by all! I know I'd recommend the e Red Rose Garden Tavern if you are in Markham!!

Good place for both eat in and take out. You can always count on the quality of the food and good service. Good variety. Reasonably priced as well. Dependable.
