Osteria Matarello - Markham

Not happy at all with the service that I received from the girl there. She was the only server there and she said she is the general manager. My first experience in this location, the salad and pizza were excellent and very delicious, Calamari was awesome. Food was very very good. I hope if I try this restaurant in the future, the girl be on her day off.

Celebrated a quiet and delicious dinner on my birthday and couldn’t have asked for better service. Our server was very attentive, witty yet polite.

Food was good but the server constantly checked on us collecting the dishes the second we finished. It felt like she was rushing us to finish to leave. But the restaurant was mostly empty, not like there were people waiting to be seated.

Our evening at Osteria Mattarello in Thornhill was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, every dish was a celebration of flavors and culinary craftsmanship. We kicked off with the Squid Ink Arancini, a delightful and unique starter that set the tone for the rest of the meal. The crispy exterior and the burst of flavors inside made for a perfect beginning. The Beef Ragu Pappardelle was a pasta lover's dream. The rich, hearty ragu clung to the perfectly cooked pappardelle, creating a dish that was both comforting and indulgent. For those seeking a bit of heat, the Spicy Chicken Rigatoni delivered. The bold flavors and the perfect level of spiciness made it a standout dish, leaving us craving more. The Pistachio Tiramisu was a sweet symphony of textures and tastes, a perfect ending to a delightful meal. And the Zipolle added a savory note that complemented the overall experience. What made the evening even more special was seeing my date thoroughly enjoy every bite. The attentive service and warm ambiance only added to the overall charm of Osteria Mattarello. Kudos to the chefs and the staff for creating such a memorable dining experience. Osteria Mattarello is definitely a gem in Thornhill, and we'll be back for more culinary adventures. Pasta cooked perfect al dente, steak cooked perfect rare. Appetisers were delicious. Highly recommended! Service was very attentive!
