Finally made it out to their roasting space and I am glad I did! Although it’s a bit of a hike if you don’t live in the east end, I think it’s worth it. I had their Red Lotus espresso and it was the most perfect espresso tonic I’ve ever had. Keep in mind this isn’t a cafe, they sell their beans, merch, some coffee gear, some drinks but not a proper, sit-down cafe. IMO, these are some of the best beans in the province... I bought their beans from a local coffee shop in Vancouver, and they taste amazing. However, what really sets Hatch apart is their outstanding customer service. When I encountered a problem, I contacted them via email politely. They provided the best support I've ever experienced and really went the extra mile to assist me.
The best coffee you'll ever experience! I've had two subscriptions each month for nearly a year, and the coffee is always fresh, high-quality, and offers a wonderful range of options. The customer service is outstanding. Every morning, I look forward to trying the new coffee, and the delivery is incredibly convenient!
The coffee here is fantastic, and the staff really know how to prepare it well. My only suggestion would be to offer regular whole milk. I'm looking forward to seeing this vending machine installed, but I hope it's located indoors!
I was inspired to visit Hatch Coffee after having a great coffee experience at another café downtown. We ordered a Flat White and a Latte, both of which had milk that was steamed to a smooth and silky texture, perfectly complementing the unique flavor of Starlight’s espresso shot. I can confidently say that these two cups of coffee are among the best I’ve ever had. I also picked up some different beans to try out with my Siphon coffee maker at home.
I finally had the chance to visit their roasting space, and I'm really glad I did! Although it might be a bit inconvenient if you're not in the east end, I truly think it's worth the journey. I sampled their Red Lotus espresso, and it was the best espresso tonic I've ever tasted. Just a quick note: this isn't a café in the traditional sense; they primarily sell beans, merchandise, some coffee equipment, and a limited selection of drinks, but there aren't any sit-down dining options. In my view, they offer some of the best beans in the province, and the awards they've won definitely back that up!
