The place is too high, but they are so good staff and the staff are in full beast mode! they are fast friendly and fast! they have all favorite plus more we ordered the lobster with ginger green tweezers it was perfect! The...pok cops and mushrooms were amazing! and the steamed huh came with a huge help from the ingwer and green wobble oil all in all we were above the tip happy with this place! definitely back!

Very good hong kong style caffe. eating is great and the price is cheap. always full of people, so that eating is fresh. below: have to wait and the restaurant could be a little cleaner.

We went to this little HK-style caffe to eat at lunch and we arrived just in time before the weekday lunch break! haifisch cafe is no different from all other HK style cafes. it serves all day breakfast, lunch and dinner combos and is located on...16. ave. near woodbine ave. we ordered several dinge to share: bark satay noodle in suppe with toast with butter and two eggs and curry chicken on rice. we have actually changed the full-day kombi from the preserved veggie and shredded pork with vermicelli in soup to the beef satay. the server, although very busy and walking around trying to sit and order, was very friendly and in the position to offer us very efficient. you eat is very decent and cheap.

Was there a regular customer, always there for her food. but they lost me forever because of their rude customer services. we went there for a quick light bite and waited patiently for a table of 4 during dinner. after we were...sitted, we only ordered two courses and one of their waitress has made a comment on a murderous way: oh, only two courses? so not wait. and then, when we finish the dinner, another waitress told us that they don't accept us who desert after dinner because we didn't order enough for dinner. but she will continue to give us. so they're writing someone who wants to have just ordered 2 courses for fast light bites? at this point, I was very unpleasant with their services and commentaries already, so that I don't leave 10 percent tips like I always this time, and the waitress had actually the nerve to come back to tell me that I don't give enough tips and to me about how kanadier always take tips 10 cent. blah blah blah, seriously? I am a Canadian and trained in the field of law, the way she treats me and my family was completely out of line. so I will never return to this restaurant again!

I decided to give this establishment a second chance after suffering an initial bad experience a while back, caused by a few insensitive and border-line hostile wait staff. Amongst over a handful of Hong Kong cafe style eateries along the 16th Avenue stretch between Leslie...and Woodbine. One taste of Hai Tang 's food propels them to close to the top of the heap. With one plate dishes and 'wok-hay ' preparation their forte, the area that stood out IMO, was their amazing and ' commercial ' tasting delicious sauces! Very reminiscence of the taste profile offered by some of the better cafe style food found in Hong Kong. Price point of their lunch specials was also very attractive and extremely good value. A definite go-to place for an enjoyable value-for-money lunch if in the area.
