Love this place. Authentic Shanghai dishes! We ordered long Jin shrimp, squirrel fish, steamed eggs…all are delicious and my kids love these too! The dishes are at a fair price rate and the waitress is very friendly. Love the place! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Grandma's Home:
I like the sweet and sour pork, outside is very crispy and inside is tender. Most dishes I ordered is yummy. However, maybe because the market price all goes up and they are trying to stay the same, (the price is also not competitive, two of us spend around $80), so the size now is relatively small. If you have more than 3 people in a table, definitely need to consider order two for each cuisine. View all feedback.
The food was delightful, and the prices were quite reasonable. The appetizers had a tendency to be on the sweeter side. The atmosphere was enjoyable, making it an excellent place for gatherings with friends.
I thoroughly enjoyed the sweet and sour pork; it had a wonderfully crispy exterior and a tender interior. Most of the dishes I ordered were quite delicious. However, it appears that due to increasing market prices, the restaurant is trying to keep its prices stable, which are not very competitive. Two of us ended up spending about $80. Consequently, the portion sizes have become smaller. If you're dining with a group of more than three, I would definitely recommend ordering two of each dish.
I'm puzzled as to why the rating is only 3.3. My family and I had a fantastic experience; the food was outstanding and the staff were extremely attentive. A 12% tip is pretty standard these days, and considering the quality of service we received, it was definitely warranted.
The food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty, the staff is friendly, and the service is prompt. Overall, everything has gotten better, and the takeout portion sizes are larger than they used to be. This is my second visit, and I genuinely think it deserves a higher rating than 3.1 stars—it’s definitely worth checking out. I highly recommend the Squirrel-Shaped Fish and especially the Sweet and Sour Pork Tenderloin.
I truly love this restaurant! The authentic Shanghai cuisine is outstanding. We sampled the Long Jin shrimp, squirrel fish, and steamed eggs, and everything was delicious—my kids enjoyed the food too! The prices are fair, and the waitress was extremely friendly. I really have a great time here!
