Thank you Miguel and Daniel. The coffee was great and your service was excellent. A group of friends from Toronto and Trinidad got together to have a special meal and fun. Thank you guys for cooking the best gourmet meal. The ten of us said two thumbs up for the chefs, even dessert was fab. View all feedback.
What Chester Batz doesn't like about Frankie Tomatto's:
Ok, my bad, I should have checked the category more carefully instead of simply relying on the place being #3 in Markham. I downgraded it to 3 star once I understood it's buffet-type american style cheap eat, but then I've tried the food and it's ok-ish for the most part, but ravioli are not edible and pizza is this typical american style which I hate so much (wrong dough and fried oil etc). That downgraded the place... View all feedback.
We celebrated my daughter 18th birthday, family of 6, the place on wasn't full as we see on the weekends, so we could ask for table alonge the window. The food was good, I love the salad bar but the pizza was only OK usually you expect from an Italian restaurant for better quality & taste, it was like any other pizza place.. The Pasta station was OK, my son who is a pasta lover said it's not the same tasty as he used at Frankie in the past, & we are coming here since 2006 almost every year, too bad the quality is not as we used to love 5 years agoThe rotisserie chicken was very good, but need more beef dishes than the roast beef. The sweets & ice cream station was very good, like the wide variety & creamy ice cream machine like you are at McDonald serving yourself. To the managers, if you want to keep your old customers coming again, you have to change the quality back to the old days, maybe bring a new real Italian chef to boost your food taste & bring some new dishes... but right now I'm not planing to visit again unless I got a word that change is done.
Visited this restaurant for a 1 year old birthday brunch with Friends and family on Sunday. Loved the variety of food choices, they had egg bennies made fresh in front of you. Big Salad bar, lots of Pasta choices, sea food, and big selection of deserts. For birthday events, the servers play the Frankie song and sing along, bringing a big tomato and a Frankie cardboard cut out to take a photo with kids had lots of fun!
Saturday afternoon, table was dirty, sticky. Walls dirty, carpets dirty. OK so the food must be good - but only warm. Pasta, sauce, lasagne, warm not hot. Garlic bread was too hard to eat. Desserts were great. Too many kids by the ice cream, so no idea how that was. Kids running all over. Very disappointed. Didn't see one person that could be Italian so what does that tell you?
As buffets go this one is pretty good. There is a good variety and the food is tasty. There is something here that everyone could eat. I recommend going for the early bird special. Make sure you make reservations.
Most of the food sucks. there is lots of varieties but they are mostly over cooked. stay away from the pastas, ribs, pizza, sea food then there is only salad, do you really want to pay so much for salad only?
