Always cravin for that diner style grub after hours. This place is our hangout for cheap, delicious eats. Gotta have a little grit in the city. Along the lines of Patrician downtown as well as Dangerous Dan's with less of the attitude. View all feedback.
What Ángeles Morán doesn't like about Eighty8 Family Restaurant:
I stopped here a few weeks ago for a quick lunch. This is a family operated restaurant so I thought I would support a non-chain eatery. I made a mistake. I ordered a simple lunch; bowl of soup, hamburger and fries--water to drink. The fries and burger tasted like the oil used for frying was "off", very strong flavour. The soup was OK but not special. The bill was just under $13!!! I felt "used". I happened to look up... View all feedback.
The service was excellent and the meal was delicious. The server at the counter greeted the guests warmly and regulars were welcomed by name.
My family and I have been visiting this restaurant since it first opened and we have been loyal customers for years.
Positives: The service was very friendly and the restaurant had a cozy, homey atmosphere. Negatives: The food may not exceed your expectations. I discovered this restaurant on Yelp and decided to try it out for brunch.
The food is not worth the money. The food is not that tasty and no consistency. Don't waste your time and money. The corned beef hash was all potato!
After reading this the last couple of reviews we did not know what to expect. Decided to take a chance and it paid off. The place was nice, the service was very good and the food great. Taste, price and location were three hits for us. We almost returned the next day too but decided to try another spot for the first time as well. Two thumbs up!
