Costa Sorrento - Markham

An upscale Italian restaurant, house made pasta pizza, nice atmosphere, nice vibes and nice service with attentive staff. Extensive wine list and menu of fresh pasta risotto, tasty with nice presentations.

We were at a different restaurant the day before and noticed Costa Sorrento. Being a fan of Italian food, we decided to make reservations for the following day. Really nice atmosphere with super friendly hosts. It took us a while to decide on the menu, but with help from our host we tried something new.

First time visit an Italian restaurant at Dt Markham. Experience was suprisingly incredible! Every dish was outstanding, carefully thought out and presented, very clean and deliberate flavors. We loved Spigola e Risotto. Rice was very creamy and deliciously cooked with tomato spicy sauce. The whole grilled seabass was a particular highlight of this dish. The fish was so juicy, boneless and marinated so well with seafood sauce which doesn't taste fishy at all. The daily special platter which comes with lamb, octopu, shrimp, steak, mix of vegetables were seven more amazing and lovely! We were so amazed by the idea of mixing all kinds of seafood and meats! This is an absolutely must-have dish that no one should miss and is phenomenal for sharing! They probably would taste even better with some freshly squeeze lemon jucie for those who are obessessed with scent of freshness with their seafood. Would definitely check out again next time to try their desserts.

We were able to get a seat on a Friday evening, but I would recommend booking ahead. It's very busy, but if you can't get a reservation, it's worth the wait. We had the pizza special, spaghetti con zucchine alla nerano, and fettucine con funghi
