Was Ivan Choi at Bake Code a mag?
Tried their Tiramisu Swirl Croissant; a bit too hard and chewy... looks great for pics but not worth the price of a large BBT loaded with toppings. Their Tofu cheesecake on the other hand delicious! I've had their regular croissants in the past and they never disappoint. I may not be a fan of the Swirl croissants but kudos to them for being creative. View all feedback.

What Lynn E dislikes about Bake Code:
The pastries have lost their flaky and crispy texture and aren't as fresh as they used to be. It seems like they've changed their recipe, as everything used to taste buttery, but that’s no longer the case. Perhaps they're using less butter and substituting it with something else. Love the salted egg croissant and the ufo coffee bun. But the Markham location doesn't have a lot of the special items until later in the afternoon.

I normally love Bake Code buns but today I ordered an Oreo Cream bun through this location on UberEats and it had literal pieces of WOOD in the bun. I was sharing the bun with a friend and she thankfully didn't swallow any. I don't understand how something like this could be overlooked so carelessly especially when it could cause dangerous choking hazard or damage the esophagus when swallowing. Very disappointing... To other customers who often order here, I'd suggest going to a different bakery or location. God forbid this have been fed to a child..

Baked Goods: Wide variety to choose from. Mixed quality, steep prices.Drinks: All of the tea is weak. Not sure why this location doesn't have the standard Chatime taste in any of their beverages.HOWEVER, I do feel sorry for the people that work here. I've only ever seen 1 person at a time behind the counter (working on cash and mixing drinks at the same time). This looks absolutely brutal, especially as online orders with (literally) 10+ drinks come in. I can't imagine how hard that must be, and I feel that a lot of the problems at this location could be improved with extra staff on hand. There is seating available (minimal). As this spot is located near a couple of schools, expect to see many students coming in (usually not problematic, just a bit crowded in the standing area at times).

Pleasantly surprised to walk in on this! Full disclosure, I was heading to Chatime and then was happily greeted by these eye-candy array of pastries! I tried the round croissants (all flavours) and not such a great fan. It takes the “croissant layers” away from the whole croissant experience. All I tasted was the flavoured white chocolate. I also tried the pineapple bun with salted duck egg and that was pleasantly good ?? I also tried their red velvet cookie and it wasn’t as good, a bit too dry for my liking. I’d still like to go back and try some more pastry options though.
