Definitely recommend eating here!
Service was great cute restaurant but overpriced for the food we got. Not much of a menu of food either. Might try again but highly unlikely..
The Turn is a great little spot attached to a golf course in Marion, IL. It 's a small, but inviting space that features a full bar with an impressive selection of bourbon (yeah, they had Pappy), and some very reasonably priced bottles of wine. Me my wife and my daughter bellied up to the bar on a Friday night for dinner, and had a really nice experience. The 2 bartenders were both super friendly, and their service was top notch. They knew the menu and offered up some great recommendations. We ordered some wings to start, and the two sauces recommended to us (Thai Garlic and Jerk Chicken) were both great. The wings weren 't breaded, but they were meaty. Nothing earth shattering, but good. I ordered the Pepper Crusted Pork Chop for my entree. It was tender and full of flavor. The charred asparagus was a great compliment to the chop, and the masked potatoes were definitely home made. Really nice dish. My wife and daughter split their meatloaf. The wife and I aren 't exactly let 's order the meatloaf types of people. In my world, the best meatloaf is typically made at home, but my daughter loves it, and will typically always order it out if it 's on a menu. So, she picked this dish and they both loved it. They gave them two big slices that were very filling and very flavorful. Places like this get lost in the sea of chain restaurants that populate so many interstate exits in the Midwest. Within 3 miles of this place was a Texas Roadhouse, an Applebee 's, a Red Lobster, a Chili 's and an O 'Charley 's. Not to mention virtually every fast food chain you can think of. Do yourself a favor and skip all that bullshit. Open Yelp! and spend your money at a place like The Turn. The three of us had three drinks, a bottle of wine, an appetizer and two entrees and our bill was under $100! You just can 't beat that!
