What an enjoyable surprise. We didn't know what to expect, but had a great time and meal at Iron Chef. Hibachi dinner was outstanding, sushi was great, service was top notch. We haven't found many spots in Marion we really like, but this is a place we'll visit again.

It's a hibachi restaurant. They're basically all the same. Food is good, consistent and cooked in front of you.

The food was good, but the service left much to be desired. I have a shellfish allergy, so I can't eat the shrimp that comes with the meals. I mentioned to one of the staff members that another restaurant I frequent allows me to substitute the shrimp for an extra salad or soup. Her response was quite dismissive—she essentially told me to just go back to that restaurant. I found her attitude to be very rude. I informed her that they wouldn’t be getting any more of my business, and I decided to leave. I only rated them 2 stars because of the food. If I were rating solely on the service, they would receive a zero.

Super excited to have this place in town! Delicious, engaging, good for two or 20. Look forward to trying the sushi and sashimi next time!

We also had an appetizer, the California Roll, which I ordered with extra ginger and extra spicy mayo, skipping the wasabi. It was delicious! My taste buds were doing flips—I couldn’t stop thinking, “Yes, yes, yes!” I enjoyed it so much that I had to order a second one to go. That gets a full 5 stars! Each meal came with a salad and soup. The soup had just two mushrooms and two small shallots, while the salad was simply lettuce with dressing—not bad, but they both lacked substance. They definitely needed more ingredients! On the bright side, the service was friendly, and the chef showcased some impressive cooking skills and a fun fire show. Overall, the dining experience was a solid 4 stars. As for the price, it came to about $40 per person. I understand that food can be expensive, but please don’t skimp on the veggies! I’m more than willing to pay for extra, but I didn't realize I needed to ask for them this time. Next time, I'll make sure to request more. Check out the pics and till next time, IC! I’ll definitely be back, but I’m hoping for more veggies next visit!
