Big Johns Soul Food And Bbq Grill

Stopped here on a whim yesterday traveling through SC with my family, and man I am so glad we did!!! Big John and Ms Pamela were so welcoming and the food was wonderful ? Highly recommend the turkey wings!! My son legit was upset when his lemonade ran out because he thought it was the best he'd ever had. Great experience, would recommend to anyone!

Nice people. We gave it a chance and I'm sorry but it just wasn't what we expected. The Chicken was Dry. Nothing was really Hot. How does fried chicken not have crispy skin if it was freshly cooked? Heck I've had leftover fried chicken that was still crispy the next day after being in fridge. I've had better homemade mac. I've had way better Sweet Tea. Sweet Tea needs proper amount of Fresh lemon IMHO. I really didn't enjoy any of the Food and my Mother that I took with wasn't impressed. I was trying to find a local place to treat my Mother to and give back to Marion. I regret to inform you I have no plans of returning. I know atleast one of y'all asked me and I didn't want to create a scene. There was atleast one customer and my Mother around when I was asked. I did NOT appreciate Marion charging an extra fee. I only noticed this fee at your location; however, maybe only certain businesses are forwarding the fee to there customers. I tried several different items off your menu so I gave ya the benefit of the dought. You were out of some items. Lastly, I had an upset tummy within an hour of eating here. May things get better for y'all.

These are the places I love to find. I had a beef stew on a bed of yellow rice, with butter beans, string beans, corn bread, with a sweet tea.Everything was so good. The corn bread was the best I have ever had.Super kind family owned business. I will frequent this spot as many times that I’m in town…

Very good soul food, I ate off the grill out front. Had the buffet once and true souther soul food.
