Service from the time we walked in until the time we left was outstanding. The fried pickles were huge and delicious. My wife had the 1/2 chicken with collard greens and green beans and was very happy. I had the pork shoulder, smoked turkey, beef sausage, and mac cheese and they were all outstanding. All of the sauces were great too. Will definitely have to try the ribs and banana pudding next time we're in Marion View all feedback.
What Nick Clark doesn't like about 17th Street Barbecue:
First night back in town for at least 3 years and I wanted the ribs, but I was greatly disappointed when told they were out of ribs, on a slow Tuesday night too. Ribs built this place WTH people? Bartender was great and honestly his attentiveness was the only reason my group stayed. Food we did eat was acceptable but the menu seems to be much less than what I remember. View all feedback.
Was there June 23rd for dinner and it seemed like they were short staffed, shocking right? Food took roughly 35-40 minutes and there were four of us. 3 out of the 4 of us were served food that should not have left the kitchen. Full slab of ribs was tough and cold, pulled chicken was cold, and a baked potato that was rock hard which had probably been warmed over a few times that day. Our waitress didn’t seem too surprised but she was really busy and summoned the manager. He came over and talked to us for a few minutes. Apologized profusely and offered to replace the orders. We declined because at that point we were just ready to leave. The manager did take 30% off of our bill which was very nice of him but we’re now a bit hesitant to come back when we visit Marion next time. It’s gone down hill since Mike(Founder and former owner) passed away. I’ll be back in about month and will be bringing some friends to try it. Hopefully the food and experience is better.

Chose this place on recommendation of hotel staff next door. We had ribs which were out of this world. They had great flavor and didn’t need any sauce. The service was excellent and very attentive. I wish we had a cooler to take a few racks back home. Can’t go wrong eating here.
A large local BBQ restaurant with absolutely excellent BBQ. Very nice interior with high back booths, a fire pit as you walk in, plus very clean and new looking. From some of the plaques I saw on the wall they've won many bbq awards from at least as far away as Memphis. Has a darkened sort of interior with individually lighted booths which had a very upscale look to it. Great Bbq!
The fried pickles were AMAZING. Service was friendly and timely. Quiet atmosphere the night we were in. The brisket was soft, the pulled pork just right (although not seasoned much), and the ribs were delish! We were not impressed with their choice of BBQ sauces on the table, but maybe that's just our taste preferences. They were more tangy, sour, and vinegar tasting than we like. May need to smuggle our own in next time!We went on a Saturday evening and it wasn't dreadful busy like some other restaurants appeared, so that was nice, no wait time.
