The food was delicious and the service was warm and inviting. However, we had to leave early because the restaurant was very busy. Despite this, it was lovely to sit on the terrace, overlooking the river and watching the wildlife while chatting. The ambiance was great! I believe today was the last day they were open until the weekend. View all feedback.
Great food and even better conversation on a low key rainy ? Saturday morning.
Hard to find, but worth heading off the beaten track. Went for breakfast and we were quickly seated, took awhile to get coffee, but we enjoyed the view while we waited! Their deck and most tables overlook the St. Croix River and the pontoons of the locals. I would say this is a dive but has good food. We had the works 10.00 which included 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 toast and hash browns served on paper plates with plastic silverware (why I called it a dive we knew what the experience would be and it was just a great way to start the day for us.
You can't beat the view!. Breakfast on the deck right on the St. Croix. Very beautiful spot...perfect for a Saturday morning date. Very simple breakfast fare on the menu. Very reasonable. The obvious draw is the view. Kick back and relax with the paper and watch the river go by.
Nice hidden gem along the St. Croix River in Marine on St. Croix. Had no idea this place was here because you drive back through a neighborhood off the main road towards the river and come to what looks like a big shed with an old sign on it that says Marine Landing. You are in the right place! Park in front the shed and walk on the left side of it to get back to the restaurant. There is a small indoor area to sit at, a covered porch, or a deck right next to the river. You can order off the breakfast or lunch menu from 8-2 and they have a Friday dinner as well. I had the breakfast with 2 eggs, choice of meat, hash browns, and toast (gluten free available) for $9.50. Pretty standard diner type breakfast. The meat and veggies are from local farms. Hash browns and bacon were crispy and good. Small menu but they take requests for sides, substitutions and said the menu is more of a 'guideline. ' Food is nothing spectacular but the ambience of being on the river is pretty great. And they do NOT accept credit cards so come prepared with cash or check! Only open Memorial Day- Labor Day and closed during the winters.
Good view, good food, good service. Been here many times and we love it.
