One of the few dim sum places around the area with good food and service. Tea pot gets refilled without being asked, tea leaves topped up when tea becomes diluted, highly recommended View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Plume:
What on earth happened here?....For years this was a gem of the west with fresh dim sim, delightfully geriatric waitresses who seemed to have swapped Zimmer Frames for Yum Cha trolleys. It's now fallen into an oily reheated third world slop cesspit of over corn floured, slimy slippery dirty basketed unappetizing morsels. Never go there! View all feedback.

Out for a brunch Yum Cha at Plume Maribyrnong. All the goodies were coming thick and fast with the waitresses spruiking what was on there heavily laden trolleys.Seafood and dumplings of various types and flavours. Asian vegetables, Pork, Roast Duck, Chicken, Calamari etc., you name it we had that lazy Susan spinning like a roulette wheel.Service was great never had to wait long at all - quality of produce, flavours and quantity was also very good.BYO is also a bonus with corkage at around $6 - one of our group had brought a Sauvignon Blanc along.Even though they had a wine list I didn't check it out; sorry I don't usually drink before 12.However it was reasonable from what was said by one of our table guests ie., variety and price ranges. After 2 hours of gorging/grazing the cost for the 7 of us came to a very very reasonable $40 a head, which also included a variety of deserts, Asian custard tarts, tapioca puddings and pots of green tea. It's been a while since I've done Yum Cha but I'll do it again at Plume.TheosTruthFoodie - The Truth the Whole Truth and Nothing But The Truth.
Needed somewhere to eat before the movies at Highpoint that wasn't fast food so we chose Plume. Thoroughly enjoyed it. We shared Deep fried scallops with peppery salt, sliced beef in Szechuan sauce with seasonal vegetables and steamed jasmin rice. Scallops were lovely and moist with a yummy, light coating which was very tasty. Great choice. Beef dish was tender with a tasty sauce, could've been a little spicer, vegetables were aplenty and cooked just like I like them, nice and crisp. Service was quick and pretty friendly for a Chinese restaurant.
I was invited to share Yum Cha for a Saturday Lunch. Service was excellent, food was OK but overall did not seem as fresh and the standard of Doncaster. Many of the steamed dishes were dry on the edges indicating that they were starting to dry out, definetly not straight out of the steamer. The front doors need maintenance, the carpet was quite grubby and many chairs were stacked along the front wall, not a clean crisp look. No I would prefer Doncaster, but there many better Yum Cha Restaurants to feast in in Victoria. We have some great Chinese to select from.
