Very painful note is the rudeness, to use an euphemism, the lady who in the morning managed the bar and at lunch time the reception of the restaurant. In the morning, just arrived to pay the entrance to the Lido and have asked for places as close as possible to the sea (with two small girls), we are given negative answer. And so far nothing wrong, since we arrived not very soon. But, as if it wasn’t enough, the lady in question had fun telling us that the places for us would be “vicinissimi, yes, very close to us”, referring to the kiosk at the entrance and teasing us about the fact that maybe we shouldn’t even dare to ask. As if it wasn’t enough, at lunchtime I, my wife and our two little girls head to the restaurant to ask for a table, but always the same lady literally shines my wife on the threshold of the restaurant and in front of other customers and, with a high voice, I care to cover herself because in the room you enter clothes. To prevent my wife had a dress that covered her entirely from her waist down and if she was already adjusting it to cover even the top where, on the other hand, she wore the normal upper piece of a bikini. And in all this we are still talking about the restaurant of a beach lido in July. In short, ways from the beginning to the end that denote or evident fatigue already in the middle of the summer season or a total incompetence in the field of tourist welcome.
I was sent away by the lady with the threat of being kicked only because I did not agree to pay 20 euros for umbrellas.. . I wouldn't recommend this place!
What's up? 1. the location of the establishment, comfortable and enviable, practically on the beach and a few steps from the seafront of Margherita dí Savoia 2. The correct fact price quality ratio 3. The kindness of Mr. Mimmo and the staff What is wrong: 1. The superficiality and the little professionalism of the young owner: it can happen, for exceptional reasons, of having to be moved of room after two days (though in a period of Covid it is not exactly the maximum , but, having been communicated to us on arrival, it would have been correct that we were previously informed, having moreover booked telephone and paid regularly a deposit. The same explanations provided (the room on the floor, originally assigned to us, equipped with sea view balcony had already been promised to another client and cost more appeared inverosimili: on the site there is no trace of price differences between the King rooms with sea view. Moreover, the second room assigned to us, on the ground floor, always sea view, but without balcony, with a shared outdoor space, has been objectively worsening as a solution. 2. The rigidity of the hours (breaking by 9.30 and closing Lido at 19 3. Breakfast little varied and devoid of fruit and cakes. Too bad, because the overall structure is really comfortable.
I highly recommend restaurant with new management , great high quality food.
We stayed with our dog at 'Traiano suite ' for 5 nights: cozy room and equipped with the essential comforts in a Margherita area a few hundred meters from the seafront but at the same time silent; beach behind the structure (quiet and well equipped linen), breakfast at the lido served by the friendly Mimmo. We felt at home for the duration of the stay! We thank all the staff for the warm welcome and hope to return soon.
