Sofia Restaurant - MARGATE CITY

Excellent food and excellent service. Great place! Enjoy them!

They have a ton of gluten free options, which is great, but the service was horrible and the tuna and crab cakes were so salty that we couldn’t eat it.

My family and I went for dinner on a Sunday evening. The food and the service were fantastic. It was also decorated lovely for the Christmas season. We plan to return and also recommend the restaurant to our family and friends! T

I cane back to Sofia after attending the wine tasting last week. Both visits exceeded my expectations. The wine tasting was fun and made me feel like I was in Greece experiencing a wonderful travel in time to a Greek festival. From the hostesses greeting me to staff dressed in Grecian gowns to the patrons wearing leafy crowns, I felt transported to a lovely Greek isle. So appreciated during a pre-winter early dark evening. A week later I enjoyed the usual ambience of Sofia’s that is the closest thing to a European getaway you will find in Margate or anywhere around here. The food was delicious (especially the octopus), and our servers (David and Vinny) went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful evening. Thank you Sofia!!

Terribly unorganized and loud wine tasting event that ruined any chance of enjoying a nice dinner. We had to wait 20+ minutes for our reservation. Sofia’s thought blasting some generic background noise to enhance the ambiance of the wine tasting event was an error. The restaurant never apologized for the chaos or bothered to notify anyone with a reservation. The restaurant’s plan was one waiter for everyone with a reservation. He was great but there was no need for that lack of proper support. This seemed like the type of event a desperate restaurant would hold not one that is successful. Such a strange and disappointing evening.
