I was in the mood for griot and pikliz and this was a recommendation of several friends. It was not first on the list, but it was the closest one to my work. Food was good. Generous pork chunks, and tasty black rice. Pikliz had a nice heat and the gravy was lights out! Be aware of the tip scam.Although it's a cool place to vibe , I've been there about 4 times with friends and colleagues. The servers, bar attenders ot whosoever that serve you just handed you an electronic bill without any details. I recently discovered that last night, I found out the tip was already included, since it she didn't tell me I tip her again which total 36% . I asked her for a print out she played around... Seen this place of a YouTube food review @grubtent on all platforms) i ordered the fried chicken meal which came with macaroni salad ,plantain 3 peices of chicken and black rice i added a side of macaroni and cheese because why not ...i typically dont eat macaroni salad but upon seeing the review i was optimistic and wow was i surprised it wasn't just a side peice it was trying to be the main it was gone before I tried anything else . The plantain was also fried to perfection i dont usually eat then since they are usually way to thick for my liking but i loved these. Next i tried the black rice it was good nothing special it was just good no complaints with the gravy and piklis it was next level. Now the chicken was really flavorful .the star tho was the macaroni and cheese it took about 30 mins it seems like but it seem to be made to order and omg it was worth every second definitely try this play out.
Best Fritay Griot I’ve ever had, their customer service is awesome. Highly recommend, it is also one of the cleanest places I’ve been to. Only one thing can you people reduce the wait time please.
13 of us came From Orlando at 7pm and it was 5 of us Celebrating our Birthday, they had a Party booked at 9pm. They allowed us to eat, and never rushed us and sang Happy Birthday to all of us. We loved Mellissa and The short cut blonde haired pretty Waitress. They were Outstanding and Professional. The food was Delicious. We met the owner and cook as well he was a very nice young Man and He represent our Haitian Men Very Well. Praying for Success and Prosperity for Him. We Absolutely loved it.
Our server was very nice and made suggestions fornism I had the Mango smoothie which was great! Along with the meatballs and accompanying sides. The food is great but the wait times are too long. You have to order well ahead so you're not there 30 minutes waiting for your order. Hopefully they will be proactive in making wait times better for more efficient service.
This was my first time trying this restaurant on 11/18/2022. I ordered the fried chicken lunch special with black rice. Amazing!! The rice was the best I have ever tasted. The food was fresh and so delicious. The Pikliz has the perfect amount of spice but a little on the salty side.
