The taco salad was a generous portion, but it was a bit bland, mostly consisting of shredded lettuce. However, the salsa on top was delicious! What User doesn't like about Margarita's:
The food is average, typical of what you'd find at any Mexican restaurant in the Midwest. It wasn't very busy during my visit, and the service was adequate. If I'm looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, I would honestly prefer to stop by the mobile station or Chevron on the island instead. View all feedback.
We have visited twice lately. Love the food. Our visit a week ago, we experienced the worst service ever. Normally it is good. This time the wait staff was more interested watching television. Numerous times we had to get up and draw the attention of staff to get a refill on drinks and refill of salsa. We were ignored throughout the meal, felt very unappreciated and that we were a bother. Then they had the gall to ask for a 18% plus tip. For what?
Eat here at least once a week. Its always been good but lately they have really stepped it up. Don?t be afraid to try some of the new menu items. Super friendly staff. Jalapeño Margaritas for the win!
I love finding restaurants that have outside seating and this one was delightful. The pico was very good. The salsa was not spicy at all which we like spicy. Great service, presentation was nice and the food was delicious. I had a very good piña colada. We went for lunch and it wasn?t very busy but it was on Sunday. I like too that it?s in a nice plaza that you could walk around in.

Despite that, I would still consider returning to try other dishes. I dined outdoors, but the interior seemed quite spacious.
The restaurant was not busy, and there were plenty of waitstaff, yet the service was incredibly slow. This was by far the worst Mexican restaurant I’ve ever experienced. We ordered the chicken fajitas, which featured overcooked chicken that was dry and lacking in flavor, with a very small portion. The Taco el Carbon had steak that was tough and tasteless. The Ahi Tuna taco was the only dish with any decent flavor, but it tasted more Caribbean than Mexican. Additionally, while they provide complimentary chips, they charge extra for spicy salsa. If you know what authentic Mexican food should taste like, I recommend steering clear of this place.
