Late arrival and without reservation for dinner, we were very kindly welcomed, the hostess explained to us that there was no more choice for them because they had many people for lunch; Small charming hostel, on the edge of the lake and in the countryside, you can understand that there has been no stock upgrade! This said, after a cut of excellent cream, we were offered a beef net to the walnuts with a dauphinois gratin, it was to fall! tender and tasteful meat, soft, hearty gratin, creamy and delicate sauce, real treat! a very good black pinot to water everything, we were delighted! the place is quiet and almost romantic, very refreshing one summer evening to recover after the big heat of the day...We will go back to sleep even as soon as the opportunity comes! The welcome is warm, simple and discreet, it is a very good address without pretension!
After a day spent at the ricey (route of champagne) the boss welcomed us with great kindness and offered us a carafe of water, the good coming. The map is quite limited, but it's worth a fresh food, it's a great tatin pie.
We arrived very late for lunch , almost at the end of lunch service but the lovely young lady at the counter greeted us and sat us down as we must have looked very hungry. The location of this restaurant is perfect - just across the road from the lake. The food here is delicious - we started with a simple entrée of grilled mozzarella and tomatoes with some crusty bread. Then steak frites which were cooked to perfection - a point, and a little sangue . Then two classics - crème brulee and a decadent chocolate mousse. This is simple , rustic cuisine flawlessly executed . The young lady as it turns out , is the owner and her mother does the cooking. We had a lovely chat and we would definitely eat here again.
