To us the best place to eat vegetarian food in Marburg for lunch. Great variety, great juices and friendly service.
The food was delicoius and everything homemade, as a Vegan I had more choises than other restaurants. The atmosphere and service are really nice.
I have been to the Pause a couple of times now and I am always surprised by the excellence of the food. The restaurant aspires to use goods from preferably organic and local produce. They have quite a few vegan choices. The food is prepared with lovely care and the atmosphere is inviting. The portions are normal and the price is adequate. The staff is always nice, but can sometimes take a few more minutes than you might be used to since they are a bit understaffed in summer.I recommend to sit at on of the small tables outside - especially in summer.Try the homemade icetea and the hummus with the homemade bread - it is heavenly!
Die Pause is truly one of my favourite corners in Marburg. It is cozy, warm, and welcoming, but I wouldn't call it homely. Rather than that, it always gives me the feeling of a celebration. Portions are rather small, but every bite is a huge delight. All ingredients are noticeably fresh and bio, and most come from the surrounding region of Hesse. My favourite dish is warm goat cheese on a bed of caramelised apples and pears. Heavenly!
I stopped here at the recommendation of a clerk at the local bookstore, and am I happy she told me about this place! I found a nice (and small, but perfect size since I was alone) table on one of the outside terraces that overlooked the city and river below. Within a few minutes the waitress came out to get my order and upon my advising her I didnt speak German, she easily translated the menu for me and offered to help with anything else I had questions about. I had a filter coffee drink, the small size which was definitely a good amount, with steamed milk on the side as well as a bite of brownie or chocolate cake. For lunch I ordered a savory crepe with minced meat, veggies, and beans with a salad on the side. All of this was just over 10 euros which was a great deal when you consider the food, atmosphere, and service. It took a bit of time to get my bill, but that was partially my cause since I didnt have anywhere pressing/ was taking my time. It was refreshing that the waitress could chat with me in English as most places I found didnt speak any English. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice breakfast or lunch in Marburg.

I’m so glad to have discovered this gem on my very first trip to Europe. My coffee and vegan fried eggs were delicious. I hope every restaurant in Europe is this awesome!
This place is a find. At the end on an alley a tight fit inside but with great but limited) seating outside underneath lush vegetation. Great vegetarian food. We had to wait some thus one star deduction for service.
We tried Kimchi grilled cheese sandwich and antipasto, absolutely amazing! Drinks are also very nice. Highly recommend

Because in our team are also many vegetarian/ vegan, eating in the team is not always easy, because also for them something reasonable has to be found. the break is a snucky, small caffe/ bistro in a small side street of the upper city. it is offered almost everything, from breakfast, lunch table, suppening, crepe, coffee and cake, quiches, changing day offers for this they are looking for meat and fish almost vain. there is a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables to find out from regional farms in farms, so nothing is missing. we ordered: lemon soup surprisingly well seasoned food carrot soup good. wild kartoffels with garidip Caribbean kartoffels with kokos mangodip very tasty crepe filled with cheese and apple a goose cheese with salat tasty spinat goat cheese great with delicious soap limonade, sweet sirupe. the interieur is oriented towards the current vintage style, wood, mass of a burial and coffee fir. the services very nice and friendly and also by the many operating or spontaneous reorder not to bring the rest.
