As someone who is gluten and lactose intolerant, there's not much German food I can eat. I came in here as this was my best choice and asked about another dish. One waitress came over and told me that the smoked salmon with potato pancakes...were gluten and lactose free....just not the mustard creme sauce. I loved this place and the price at lunch was very reasonable! View all feedback.
What Wilber Herzog doesn't like about Cafe Am Markt:
Wir waren hier auf ein Mittagskaffee mit Eis. Die Lage ist sehr schön und man kann auch gut draussen sitzen. Das Eis war eher durchschnittlich. Der Service war auch ok und die Sanitäranlagen waren sauber und ordentlich. Preisleistung lag auch im Durchschnitt: Eiscafé 3,90 €, Espresso 2,20 € View all feedback.
Good season of such pastas, in a very beautiful and medieval atmosphere, opposite to which was the house where the brothers green authors of so many cute tales lived
Beautifully located on the market in the center of oberstadt. because the huge amount of weep we choose to have our lunch. the service was not so friendly and appealing. to the happiness was eating in order.
Came to the breakfast. there was only one buffet. two types of rolls, barely obst (two pieces of melone,) finish and lasted long until refilling. no croissants or baked. service very unprofessional and took over long. Price quality ratio not right. the location. is wonderful what makes it worth instead
We only visited a beer and maybe we were insulted. we found a nice table outside and sat. two different waiters were there, none of them even saw in our direction. one of them seemed almost angry, sneaky menus on the tables and...furios rearranged the tables and chairs. after a few minutes, one of us went inside to ask if we were supposed to order inward, we where said to order in the table, and finally another waiter came and took our order. our beer was nice and cold, but can't say I'm impressed by the personal.
Shortly after the opening of the restaurant on Friday morning november. we sat at a reserved table, and the staff has led us politely to the available places. German breakfast buffet had many options for eating, all were excellent and really fresh....Fresh rolls, baked, brot, fruit salad, fruit salad, fruits, yogurt, cold cuts (big variety) and meat sauce, personagesalad, cheese, (again excellent selection,) smoked fish, ruddy and cooked very cheap! the personal language English and German, let us be welcome. excellent place to start a day before a long hike through marburg. decor is very modern, clean, beautiful table settings excellent view from inside. Breakfast menu and coffee/deserts for the afternoon looked very good. recommend the breakfast buffet without reservation.
