Athena - Marburg

Even if isolated guests made it in front of the athena at the few tables comfortable, the temperatures were somewhat too fresh to eat cozy lunch. so the few steps went into the small and fine restaurant. four tables on the windows with two seats, a table with six and a table with a bank and about eight seats invite you to stay inside. the environment was good, and for the small dimensions of the dining room, the seating possibilities from the number were also exactly suitable more would have killed. I would like to express a praise to the young, sympathetic and extremely friendly men in the service. very attentive, friendly, flink and diligent he did his job. they felt right away! barely guests had left the restaurant so that he already made order and washed the tables wet. overall, the gas room also made an extremely clean impression. with a view of driving in the ketzerbach I studied the appealing menu and decided to gigantes as an appetizer and a middle grill plate as a main dish too gigantes. a bitter lemon. the prices appear to me in comparison to other very moderately operated and according to my opinion for the size of the partly also with a good value for money. for a bitter lemon they have already paid 50 cent more (2.50 instead of here 2 euro. the gigantes came quickly and carefully to mention that my deck was extended long before a spoon. I was a little disappointed by the presentation of the gigantes. so with petersilie was apparently provided with a hauch dry pessil. but the taste didn't stop it. they tasted as hoped good, and for this price was portioning, supplementing and compilation completely in order. here they can not expect an additional brot and cheese, and so it is also in the menu. I was happy. I went to Athena with my parents and grandparents and they were well pleased with their food. I'm a vegan so I can't judge the quality of the meat but they were impressed and I was happy with my meal as well baked beans with sautéed red bell pepper and pitta bread. The restaurant is very cute and small, so you should always make sure to call before going there!

Usually, I try to stay away from Greek food in Germany, but Athena exceeded my expectations. We had chicken Soup (plain but well seasoned), a large Greek Salad and schnitzel with fries. Everything was fresh and plentiful, perhaps seasoned too much with some dried basil or terragon. The food was served fast and we had a free ouzo. Nothing exceptional, but good value for Money and nice atmosphere.

Filling but not visually pleasing food, at an economical price. For a better experience, eat at the other Greek place across the street.
