Our vacation was completely ruined by the poor service we received.

I... read more We have a vacation cabin in Marble, NC. It's great to have such a little gem nearby. We always find the time to eat here. Food is always fresh and delicious. I recently ordered the salad with steak, strawberries and candied pecans. The owner Alexa substituted the strawberries with local season apples and tomatoes. Delicious!!! Ate twice here this time and had the salad with chicken and later with steak. Hefty portion of steak on the salad. My husband had the Farmhouse burger cooked to perfection and later the fish chips with catfish. The carrot cake with caramel sauce is a must!!! Again, delicious. Staff is friendly and the owner Alexa is so accommodating and we really enjoyed speaking with her. Highly recommend!

Chef Alexis did an amazing job. I will definitely fix my salad cravings here from now on.

But the Smoked Chicken Nachos were nothing more than store... read more 2nd time there and ordered 2 of the specials. Chicken 'N ' Waffles decent waffles a tad over cooked. But the Smoked Chicken Nachos were nothing more than store bought nacho chips with some shredded cheese, and very dry, leftover tasting chicken and a drizzle of BBQ sauce.... no lettuce tomatoes, salsa or sour cream typical for nachos. Told our waitress they were not good and she just said cook was trying something new with chicken, no offer to take off our bill or bring something else. Husband barely touched them so I shared a waffle and tender with him.
