It is such a shame, if they could only sort the service out, it would be so great again. Will not return in a hurry. Not sure why you can no longer buy a jug of sangria either????

The mai... read more What a waste of time and money that was. First, the two of us were seated by the live music “scene” speaker which made talking to each other impossible. The main competence of being a host is not to seat couples in front of the scene, since there is a quite high chance they actually want to talk over a meal. Secondly, the appetisers were good, but the main dishes, especially the fried fish were horrible. Texture of the fish was resembling chewing gum, French fries were overcooked and rock hard, and the salad was dry and tasteless even when spilled with a generous amount of olive oil. Service was not attentive at all, we were left with our empty glasses and never offered a refill or a change of beverage, which is super neglectful since beer is a common drink to start a dinner in Spain. Thirdly, for that money you can get a much better experience in other places. I can’t recommend anything but staying away from that place.

Our family have been loyal guests for years, but we will not continue to visit Simbad after disrespectful treatment. Both Google and website said they closed at 23:00 on sundays, our table was at 21:00. Immediately after receiving our main dish 21:30 the waiters started staring us down and rushing to get us out. Ruined our special day. I understand that the staff wanted to go home early (as it was a rainy evening, and not that busy), but as guests paying more than 100 euros, that's not acceptable. It would be a better soultion if they'd let us know that they wanted to close early, instead of letting us order and staring us out almost immeadialty after reciving our order. Furthermore the waiter came to take our plates three times while I was clearly still eating the main dish. Very uncomfortable. Unfortunate that rude staff ruins such a beautiful restaurant. In my opinion the headwaiter (who left before this) was very nice, but the rest of the staff completely ruins the experience.

We were a party of 4; the garlic bread looked like it c... read more I have seen Simbad advertised on social media and it looks great, but our visit today was disappointing. We were a party of 4; the garlic bread looked like it came from a supermarket and as for the main course, the fish arrived 5 minutes after everyone else had their food and we had to chase for it. The service was poor, the food average at best and they even forgot our dessert order. Overpriced for what we got.
