Rumours Coffee House Deli - Marathon

Took the small detour off the highway to see this store and it was disappointing. Found ourselves with the worst coffee cappuccino of our 5 day trip across Canada. Cappuccino looked like a tea with milk. There is a large selection of food here so there is options including dessert and snacks that looked good. No snack options noted for dietary needs DF, GF, V. Generic Nestle ice cream is also found here. Restaurant is clean.

Having recently moved to Marathon, after numermous visits, we decided to try out Rumours for some ice cream. We were highly disappointed and somewhat disgusted. The soft ice cream was very gritty and the add ins tasted stale. The restaurant was quite dirty and the staff seem to have an aversion to washing their hands. Will not be returning even though they have some items we would normally try. How the heck did they get an A rating from the health board??

Great eating and welcoming staff, there have nothing tried what I didn't love when they were in marathon on, and want something that makes subway look like müll, look through ruffled and have a sub, wrap, sandwich, salat or soup/chilli, they will not regret it, the broth when fresh and the coffee is hot. 10/10 I go to lunch 7 days the week.

This morning a crispy chicken pack picked up to eat today for lunch on our bike trip to white river. it turned out that this was a very good idea because the packaging was actually very good!

Change in ownership recently has made this place a last option in Marathon. Took 10 minutes to get a toasted bagel. They didn't even put the cream cheese on it. Got a BLT sub sandwich recently. The prices of subs have increased and the quality decreased. Bread tasted like styrofoam. I often ask for no lettuce but magically, it still appears. I have ordered soup there twice. Both times it came with a burnt taste i.e. ready for the garbage can. Service is slowwwwwww. Always has been. Staff look unhappy, bored, and unmotivated to do but the minimum required. To me, this says a lot about their boss. On a positive note: their whipped cheesecake is awesome. Will be avoiding this cafe in the future.
