We went here three times during the week because a) the food was very good, b) they recognised us and made us feel very welcome and c) it was very convenient to... read more We went here three times during the week because a) the food was very good, b) they recognised us and made us feel very welcome and c) it was very convenient to the hotel. Excellent service, and good food, cooked well, with lots of local ingredients. Just hope you like fish and shellfish!

It was... read more The two things I wanted--stuffed squid and/or pizza--were not available at lunch time, which is when we came. Instead, I had a mixed seafood pasta dish. It was fine--the razor clams were too gritty. I ended up picking them out. Our waiter was very friendly. My friend ordered an anchovy and salmon appetizer. I don't know if they were afraid that he wouldn't really want anchovies, or if they were prepared differently than the menu said, but either way they brought him sample anchovies first, before bringing the full appetizer to the table. On a side note: another morning we were walking by and a man was pruning the nespoli tree over the front of the restaurant. Next thing you know he was tossing us fresh fruit right from the tree--they were delicious!
