Pontevedra - Mar del Plata

What an incredible place run by some of the warmest and most genuine people that we met during our time in Argentina. Marcelo and the Pontevedra family welcomed us to a very intimate and lively New Year's Eve. The food (far more than we could eat) was delicious, the service was perfect, and the atmosphere was genuine and celebratory.After dinner and a midnight champagne toast (the first of MANY to come), Marcelo put on some music and we all danced, drank, sang, hugged, and wished one another "Buen año." It was a wonderful meal with equally wonderful people ... one that we won't forget. Thank you!

3 parejas, pedimos 1 ensalada de Mariscos, 1)2 pulpo (muy bueno) 1)2 raba 1/2 lomo a la pimienta con papas a la crema* (dos papas hervidas que le pusieron crema, malísimas) 1 tortilla de papa muy buena Dos vinos de 700 c uno, 3 aguas. Medio gin tonic por que no tenían más gin Todo $20.200 un robo a mano armada. Comimos arriba que es un horno. El mozo uno de arito en la nariz un desastre, encima es de esos que le das $ 21.000, y se creo con el derecho de quedarse con el vuelto de 800 así nomás de prepo. Y reservamos para 22.30 - 23 y entramos a las 23.45. NUNCA MAS VOY NI LO RECOMIENDO

Marcelo and the Pontevedra family welcomed us to a very intimate and lively New Year's Eve. The food was delicious, the service was perfect and the atmosphere was real and famous. After dinner and a midnight champagne toast (the first to come from MANY), Marcelo on some music and we all danced, drank, sang, embraced, and wished each other Buen año. It was a wonderful meal with just as wonderful people we don't forget. Thank you.
