Finally got the chance to eat here. Had to ask them to turn off the TV due to NBC's LIES about 1/6/21, which they did. But as I was leaving, they turned it back on. I have NO use for the media and how they LIE to us. Them turning it back on greatly angered me. WON'T BE BACK. NO VOLVERÉ.
We ate at the Sole Cafe. This is a division of Missouri State University, the food service for the entire satellite school. They are converting the old shoe factory into dorms for the growing student population as well a providing food for students and the general public, to make a little extra money.
This restaurant, although a little hard to find, is worth the effort. It is located as a cafeteria style restaurant, located in the corner of an off-campus student housing complex. For less than $7.00 each day, you can get salad, a choice of two entrees, a drink and dessert. Look them up on facebook to see what they are serving. When you eat there five times, you get a free meal. I have experienced their lasagna, which was very good, and their pies, which are very good. You can also go back for seconds, as well. Cafeteria style yes, but the food quality is very good. For a unique dining experience, and something a little different, give it a try.
Good food at a good price, even if it wouldn’t win any culinary awards. Good for that change of pace or that trip down memory lane, the “soul” provides that most basic requirements.
Ok, I ate there not expecting much but was I surprised!! Had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, dinner roll, cherry cobbler and a Dr. pepper.....I could have had a salad, fruit and several cold dessert items as well....since this is an all you can eat buffet, you better be careful!! I'd do it again!!
