The cobblestone streets can really tear up your suspension. I just got hired by a company in the Landing. I'm not sure I'm gonna take the job because I don't want to leave the safety and security of South City (shaky as it is) and work 8-5 M-F on the River. View all feedback. This is the only somewhat in tact element of St. Louis's once great riverfront, serving as an echo of the past. It is sad seeing the old cobblestone roads slowly become paved with bland concrete. If this trend continues, who's to say another building here and there gets removed for more parking, since our cars are more important.
