Italia - Mar del plata

I have visited here twice, and enjoyed both meals. While I like Italian meals, I opted for steak (a special on the nights I visited) both times and it was excellent each time. On our second visit, we were seated on the spacious patio. The weather was great and the service was attentive. Having grown up in the restaurant business, I am pretty critical of service, produce and meat quality, seasoning and ambiance when dining out. Bar Italia knocks it out of the park on each item every time we go! This is truly a five star gem hidden in plain sight! So much better than many restaurants that get high reviews because of turning high volume. For those with a discerning palate, Bar Italia is a fabulous experience! Try it. You won’t be disappointed!

The food is very fresh and beyond delicious. Both the indoor and outdoor seating have a lovely ambience. Highly recommend for those who seek an authentic dining experience.

I knew this place was going to be good just by walking in; the smell is exactly what you want an amazing Italian place to smell like. The service was great and we got our food and appetizers really quickly. The bruschetta is huge and is basically like pieces of pizza — incredible. I got the tortellini and it was so delicious and a great serving size. Cocktails are yummy but a little small. Overall everything was a great value for how great it tasted. I will be back!
