Shockingly fantastic. They have the sweet crunchy chicken most others don't have, best lo mein noodles I've ever had, the best crab rangoons I ever had, and this fluffy soft crunchy edged sugar doughnut, mmmmm. We paid 30 for 3 lunch buffet and drinks. My family loved the sushi and the service was immediate, well timed, drinks full, plates cleared and check given the moment I was ready. Thank you for such a great exp... View all feedback.
What Kathy R doesn't like about China Buffet-st Louis:
The buffet is heavily focused on meat, especially chicken, and a couple fish and seafood choices. Seems like all the veggies were smothered in cheese, fried, or had to be picked out of other dishes. Why not offer a healthier mixed vegetable choice? View all feedback.
I consider myself a Chinese buffet addict. I have to try them all! So far, I've been to more than forty of them over my lifetime...and adding a few more every year during my travels. I arrived at this spot about an hour before they closed, so my expectations were not high considering you typically are going to find old, cold, and empty pans of food this late in the day. They did a good job of batch cooking, so I never really had to deal with empty pans. Some of the food had been sitting for a while but it didn't matter as this was some of the best food I've eaten from a Chinese buffet. Full of flavor...wow, nice job! They had a fresh pan of what they called roast chicken, and OMG, it was good! Everything I tried was great except the sliced potatoes. Pot stickers, chicken on a stick, and egg rolls all above average. I don't give out many 5 stars, but I have to this time. Highly recommended!
The place is kind of dark and dingy. The servers work hard and fast. The buffet is mediocre at best.
If youre planning on going here, please, im begging you, get the stir fry chicken. it’s the best chicken you will ever taste. it’s perfectly seasoned, melts in your mouth, and super tender. other favorites of mine include the green beans, banana pudding, oranges, and the general tso’s chicken. i would eat here every day of my life.
We come here frequently. It is reasonable prices, friendly people, and good food.
Not to bad for coming in an hour before they closed.
