Was Anonym at Kamlabai a mag?
Kamlabai is located on the outskirts of Mapusa, and is well known for its fish delicacies. The fish thali is excellent in taste and at Rs 100 is value for money. The drawback is the ambiance that is plain and may not be to every ones taste. The sea food here is always fresh and tasty. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Kamlabai:

The restaurant. we ordered tinted fish garlic, huh crispy and kingfish teller. in the kingfisher plate it had four pieces. the 2 piece was kingfish, but other 2 pieces was something else. if I told the owner, he should accept the mistake that he does not even take mine. gravitation. even though I paid for it. restaurant plz do not visit them.
Absolutely overrated. a local restaurant with seafood is very preferred. they even have conditions for taking payments. if cash before 12 o'clock. if the customer does not have cash. gpay also costs control. absolutely pathetic.
Not for tourists who are in goa for a relaxed time with good environment and eating. we went there, it's like a basic kantine that is not well maintained. I could compromise because I experienced amazing eating with fast and moving service. unfortunately we waited for 15 minutes to get someone to clean a used table and order another 15 minutes for someone to come and order. 5-7 minutes after ordering, we were told that they did not crawl! you go to a seafood place to eat seafood. we left the place. While we did not taste the food, I will not recommend this place if they believe that enjoying food contains a good service and good people.
My man had tried this place and said it was very good and very local. as we are in goa, he took himself home. the packaging was very disappointing with many plastic bags and eating leaks, so that it...was a savage through the time he came home, we live in siolim) so that was a bit left open. the food itself was tasty, but only too sharp, we both had sodburn to late in the night: we had the chonak curry, tisray, prawn masala cool. would pass on the prawn masala. fish curry was nice but standard affair. tisray always a favorit. I would give it 3.5 stars and definitely better to eat in the restaurant then take.
Kamalabai is quite well known specially amongst locals for its local cuisine and seafood. Our local driver had recommended it when we asked to sample typical Goan food. The kindest thing I can say for this place is that it was disappointing. I found the...fried fish smelly, the coconut in the curry tasted off, the clams were so spicy, they burned all the way through. I would never go back.
