KFC - Maple Ridge
KFC
Description
The restaurant is experiencing major issues with long wait times, inconsistent food quality, unfriendly staff, and confusion over gift certificates. Customers have expressed dissatisfaction with both service and food quality, with reports of greasy and subpar chicken. Even using coupons seems to be a challenge for staff. There are also concerns about the treatment of animals, adding a dark cloud over the dining experience. Overall, the general consensus appears to be overwhelmingly negative, with patrons looking for better quality and service elsewhere.

On Tuesday, June 27 at 5pm, I went through the drive-thru of this restaurant. The person taking my order couldn't understand what I wanted and ended up messing up my order. I had to purchase extra fries and coleslaw. What should have cost $20 ended up being more expensive.
The review of this restaurant can only be described as horrific. Little chickens on the farm are subjected to a brutal fate as they are woken up every day to see the sunshine and eat their food, only to eventually be slaughtered by the farmer's knife. It is a heart-wrenching image that taints the experience of dining at this establishment.
Last night, we visited this restaurant for take-out. I had a coupon but the cashier was unsure of how to input it, so she had to ask for assistance. It was no issue at all.
This Taco Bell is a combined outlet with KFC. Relatively new, it's an o.k place for a quick bite. Advantage is being able to order from both menus, with cross promotions (e.g., order a KFC meal and add on a burrito for $1 instead of $1.49) Relatively clean.Beef burrito is o.k. Fries and very good, chicken skin could have been crispier.
This location used to be really good but they have had so many owners and I don't know why, but the staff is not that friendly you really have to make an effort yourself to get them to smile. Maybe it is the location, across the street from the Caring Place and some of the less savoury come in and give them a bad time or they are not happy in their job? but it would be nice if they would lighten up if you are dealing with the public. Their chicken used to be nice and hot and crispy but it is soft outside and a bit greasy. I have tried it several time with and without coupons they send out and it is always the same. I haven't tried other locations but this one is not that good. It seems that KFC has really gone downhill. Maybe someone knows of a better location where the chicken is like it used to be. We don't have fried things a lot but sometimes we get a hankering for it and it is the only one in town.
