Contribute FeedbackThis is a little place, stuffed between a small shopping area and a pretty lousy seafood place. It is directly in front of the local radio station, next to Soriana. If you like traditional Mexican food, you MUST try this place. Their Carne en su Jugo is beyond exceptional. If you don't know what that is, it is lean strips of beef ( a LOT ) cooked in a strong beef broth with pinto beans. Then a tablespoon or so of crunchy fried bacon is added and it is topped with a small grilled onion, a grilled yellow pepper and a slice of avocado. It it served with outstanding tortillas.. and I don't really like tortillas. These are more like a thin Rotti.. almost bread-like. It comes in two sizes, small and large and is served in traditional stoneware platters. Small of probably more than you should eat, but it is so good, you'll want the grande. Very inexpensive and NO worries about getting ill.. they use bottled water for all their cooking. They serve several different things, but frankly, the Carne en su Jugo is so mouthwatering, I can't bring myself to try anything else.. They are only open for "lunch".. typically closing around 4-5 PM.
