We stopped in for... read more The restaurant is right across the street from the Blue Swordfish landmark. That is a four star location, but it goes downhill in other stars. We stopped in for a late afternoon lunch and the service was terrible. I ordered a Corona with a slice of...lime, and the fajitas pollo while my wife ordered the carne asada. We also ordered the Nachos Rancheros for an appetizer. For us it was a very long wait, so you might need a lot of patience. Next to us, two ladies ordered at the same time and were being served before my beer (minus the lime) even arrived twenty minutes later. Now I am used the laid back atmosphere and such in Mexico, but this wait was almost extreme. Others who arrived when we did were almost finished eating before our meals arrived. In a possible defense of the slow service, it must have been shift change as after taking our order, we never saw that particular waitress again. Oh well, its Mexico, and time to relax and kick back, right? Finally, after what seemed like an hour here comes the food along with the nachos, and I needed another beer as the one I was nursing was long gone by then. My chicken fajitas were just so so watery and lacked real flavor. The nachos had only a few chips with a few pinto beans, covered over with more than enough chunks of cheese and avocado slices. Not sure where the rancheros part was. The carne asada was plentiful, but bland. Overall experience: meh.

Watching the locals pass by over lunch gave us an authentic local feel. We went with traditional Mexican meals that were delicious. 400 pesos for 4 guests...with drinks was very reasonable. We wil return to Chantily on our next visit to Manzanillo.

Clean, food was very good pancakes bacon were so good as was the grapefruit juice, hubby had bacon and eggs and orange juice. he said his breakfast was very good as well....service was great and would go back and recommend.
