The bad news: lack of vegan options. there were only 2 vegan selections on the menu. one was an appetizer (the beet steak and one was a vegan casado. the vegan casado was $25 for rice, bean, plantains and mixed vegetables. that would have been good if they were served with a special sauce or prepared in some way that made the dish tasteful or unique. the rice was pure white rice, which I can make at home in a microshaft, for the black. there was nothing special about the meal and I felt like I was wasting not only my money, but I was wasting a meal here. the experience was particularly disappointing, because the resort should be the most environmentally friendly in manuel antonio. if the management has not established the connection between the acceptance of a vegan diet and the restoration of the environment, how ecologically conscious can they be? the good: the staff is excellent. absolute great wine list, on the bottle and on the glass. charming open-air food. magic location. the one thing el mirador does right is their preservation of the habitat of animals on their grounds. the golf car rides through the jungle to the restaurant is phenomenal. el mirador was built around a series of fully grown trees that were not cut and grown by the restaurant. Nevertheless, if they are vegan, call them before and ask them what vegan dishes are on the menu.
As soon as they arrive over the slightly deceitful drive down a dirty road at this place, they are enchanted by its beauty and will be glad to make the trek. as soon as they park, they take them with the golf car on the top of the hill through a mystical rain forest to the beautiful restaurant with a perfect view of the sea. if they want a romantic dinner, this is the place to go. the service was excellent and we were vegetarian, had an excellent meal, with some of the dishes modified by the cook to adapt our nutritional needs. they could also make things for vegans! Not only was the presentation of the food excellent, but it also tasted delicious and it was plentiful (in contrast to many gourmet restaurants, where they left starving after their meal.) their organic wine tasted good and their dessert was divine. we ordered the zucchini reels and the marinated beet for the appetizer, then we had the kartoffeln au gratin and sweet linguini in a white sauce, finished it with bananen and berry lamb accompanied by organic Chilean wine! uoh I still taste this lush eating! Don't miss this place! it is expensive, but it is worth it!
Really good food, though a little expensive. great outdoor setting opposite the beach. great suppen and salate.

The staff was so friendly and thoughtful, eating was delicious, and the intention was fantastic. I am milk-free and gluten-free and the restaurant so gracious. the breakfast was included and my favorite was the gallos (here pictured) of the semi-private beach with pool and restaurant/bar directly near was perfect after many days spent in the rainforest earlier in our trip. there was also an infinity pool near the reception with a beautiful view (see below) a slit right in front of our room sleeping on a nearby tree – the next look we saw on our trip. we also saw monkeys and crawls and so many lagoons! we had to go to the airport very early and they gave us breakfast and coffee to go, and were super punctual to collect our bags and make sure we were on time. if I had to give some feedback, we noticed some mistakes in our room (small ants,) but I think this is hard to avoid. the cost of eating and drinks were quite expensive, but at least it was delicious and homemade. total a super relaxing end of our time in costa rica! I highly recommend staying here and enjoying everything the resort and manuel antonio has to offer.
