Finley's Grill - Manteca
Finley's Grill
Description
Nestled in the Central Valley, this cash-only restaurant offers a charming atmosphere with a rustic Victorian feel, though its inconsistent hours and limited menu can be frustrating. While some dishes like the Finley burger earn high praise for their flavor, other menu items have drawn criticism for quality and pricing. Service is often noted as attentive, with staff eager to share the establishment's history. Despite some mixed reviews on food options and ambiance—highlighted by eclectic decor—many guests appreciate the cozy environment and friendly service, making it a hidden gem worth a visit for drinks and casual dining.

We had a very large party and they were really not able to provide service for that many, although assured ahead of time they would. Highly priced and your owner/wait staff/ bartender was a bit cranky that night. Also after we were seated she then wanted us to move so it would accommodate them serving us easier. Also appeared as tax and tip were lumped together on our bills at 30%. And they only take cash. Food: 2
The restaurant was fairly quiet, with only a couple of other tables occupied, perhaps because it was a Thursday night. This calm atmosphere allowed my friend and me to have a comfortable conversation throughout dinner. We sat inside, looking out onto a charming patio that added to the quaint ambiance. The restaurant had a cozy, rustic Victorian feel that extended to the patio and even the restroom. Service was excellent. Debra was our waitress and shared insights about the history of the property while ensuring our glasses were always full and we had everything we needed. On our way home, my friend and I both remarked how much we enjoyed Debra’s company and wished she could have spent more time with us. I’m looking forward to sharing a cozy dinner on the patio with more friends in the future. However, I would love to see their menu on their website, along with the kitchen hours. One important note: THIS IS A CASH-ONLY ESTABLISHMENT, but they do have an ATM on site.
I visited this fantastic restaurant for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth. It's a husband-and-wife-run establishment, and I enjoyed a lovely conversation with the wife. We will definitely be returning. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner.
The place is a bit rustic, don't let that worry you. Great food and really friendly service. Don't miss out.
