Country Skillets - Manteca

The country fried steak was a bit small (7"x7"), but it had fantastic flavor. The buttermilk biscuits were delicious, though I would have preferred them to be just a touch denser, as they were a little too fluffy for my taste. The gravy was tasty but could have used a bit more. The country potatoes, made from fried red potatoes, were okay. The medium poached egg was cooked too long, but it would have made a perfect hard-boiled egg. I really enjoyed the country music from the '80s and '90s playing in the background at a comfortable volume. Overall, the service was excellent.

I ordered the huge 3-egg California omelet, accompanied by a side of fresh tomatoes, and it was fantastic! The tomatoes were somewhat average but still decent. The omelet, on the other hand, was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor, and the ingredients inside were well balanced. I highly recommend Country Skillets!

During our stay at Great Wolf Lodge, my family and I quickly became regulars at this charming little restaurant. We tried a variety of dishes, including pancakes, skillets, eggs Benedict, hamburgers, and grilled cheese, and everything was delicious. I particularly loved the official skillet. The staff was wonderful, and I genuinely appreciated their kindness towards my boys and our family. Thank you!

I had my first meal at this restaurant, and it was a great experience. Both the food and service were excellent, and I noticed many regulars and families enjoying their meals. The only downside was that the place could use a bit of an update; some of the booths are showing signs of wear, which suggests they’ve been well-loved. Aside from that, it’s a lovely spot for breakfast and lunch. I’ll definitely return!
