Aki's Food To Go Oriental - Manteca

We ordered lechon, lumpia, and pansit. The lechon was huge and cooked beautifully, with crispy skin and tender meat. It was served hot when we picked it up. The lumpia was delicious and not greasy at all. The pansit was equally enjoyable. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our meal.

The owner is a wonderful lady, and the store is a no-frills Filipino grocery that offers everything you need to prepare basic Filipino dishes. She always has pancit on hand, which I find myself craving constantly.

The food is authentically prepared in the traditional Filipino style. You can also place orders if you're hosting a party or gathering with friends and family. However, they do not provide delivery service.

Late review. I called to inquire about my lumpia order. The person on the line was rude, For example I asked about the dozen lumpia she kept correcting me as such, You mean 12 pieces!! I just wanted to know if I ordered Lumpiang Shanghai or Vegetable Lumpias. I didn 't want to waste my time coming from Stockton to Manteca after work. HER TONE WAS EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE. I HAD IT! I TOLD HER FORGET IT TO CANCEL MY ORDER!! I don 't think I 'll be going there at all. I won 't put my money where I don 't feel welcome. This happened three weeks ago. Every one have bad days, but for any business there 's no time off for customer service, specially on the phone.

I just wished they sold more stuff on their grocery side. Shelves practically empty , prices are not marked for the items. They sell hot food there, I usually go late in the day and food looks like it's been sitting for awhile at times.
