They forgot our order of 4 chicken nuggets, so we went back through the drive-thru because our 18-month-old was crying for their "suggestions." The manager was very accommodating; they gave us a 10-piece nugget, a cookie, and a strawberry shake, along with an apology. McDonald’s definitely wouldn’t have handled it like that! Following the windstorm, the staff was exceptionally informative and professional. They clearly explained why there was no ice available and why only cash payments were accepted. It’s evident that they are a dedicated team.
I decided to give Wendy's breakfast a shot and tried three different sandwiches, sharing them with friends. The first was a croissant sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese. The cheese was Swiss and it had a mild Hollandaise sauce that I think was quite tasty. It was fresh and delicious, with the egg cooked on a grill. Very filling, and the sausage had a nice spicy kick—definitely in a good way! If you're sensitive to spice, it might be a bit much, but I highly recommend giving it a go. The second sandwich I tried was the Baconator, which came with egg, cheese, sausage, and bacon on a classic bun. This one is a real monster and definitely makes for a hearty meal. Lastly, I had a classic sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich, which was also delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of them. Wendy's is really stepping up to compete with McDonald's quality! As for the potato wedges, they reminded me of KFC's, but with less flavor and a bit more pepperiness, which worked well. The coffee was okay—tasted pretty standard but not anything special. It would have been nice if they offered Seattle's Best, but it's definitely better than the overly strong Colombian coffee at McDonald's. There’s still plenty more to explore on the breakfast menu, and I hope they introduce a premium sandwich option and maybe an open-faced plate option in the future. Overall, I definitely recommend giving it a try. It's great to see Wendy's back in the breakfast game! I had hopes for their Panini press sandwiches they offered in limited markets, but these options are solid.
