Very cozy and delicious soup and bread. If you drive the trails, it's a must to stop.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside through the fire! Definitely that again!

Enchanting! Perfect for families! It boasts an impressive range of cross-country trails spanning 40 miles. Just a 15-minute drive to Stowe for downhill skiing. They bake their own bread and brew their own beer, both of which are excellent. There are three types of accommodations available: lodge rooms, cozy cabin-like two-bedroom apartments in the guest house, and larger villas. If you're a fan of The Sound of Music, you'll love staying in this Austria-inspired setting. The lodge was founded by Maria and her family, and their warm hospitality is still very much alive today.

100% worth the effort to get to. Warm and welcoming, homemade soups and sandwiches, stellar setting.

Cross-country skied here from the Trapp Family Lodge. What a wonderful experience, great to have a destination. Gentleman working there lives on premise. He was a treat to talk too. I found some Chaga mushroom on the birch tree outside, and he gave me some hot water for chaga tea. Was fun to meet the other skiers, while sitting on the porch, watching the birds.
