He was... read more Cross-country skied here from the Trapp Family Lodge. What a wonderful experience, great to have a destination. Gentleman working there lives on premise. He was a treat to talk too. I found some Chaga mushroom on the birch tree outside, and he gave me some hot water for chaga tea. Was fun to meet the other skiers, while sitting on the porch, watching the birds.

They bake their own bread and brew their own beer, both of which are excellent. There are three types of accommodations available: lodge rooms, cozy cabin-like two-bedroom apartments in the guest house, and larger villas. If you're a fan of The Sound of Music, you'll love staying in this Austria-inspired setting. The lodge was founded by Maria and her family, and their warm hospitality is still very much alive today.
