What a gem! First time? They bring you a sample paddle. So many good options, I got the 'choose 3 ' combo for $12. Surprised it filled me up because I have quite an appetite. Everything thing was really good. Red Beans and Rice but, especially, the Lobster Bisque were the best I 've ever eaten. Will I be back? I plan to become a regular. View all feedback.
The food was good and filling. It took a while for our server to take our order but once he took our order the food came out pretty quick. Since we had never been there they gave us a sample. They do have some lunch specials and we took advantage of the po-boy and gumbo. My family loves seafood but I always worry about cross-contamination with shellfish since I am allergic to it. This restaurant was very good about noting that and had no problems with my food. They also have a Groupon that we used without any problems.
Taste sampler for the classics right off the bat was nice. Lunch specials are a good deal. Wife didn't particularly like her coleslaw. Fries are delicious. Big pieces of catfish. Po-boy was smaller than expected but I don't eat Cajun enough to know. Wife's hurricane drink was delicious.
My wife and I ate here a few days ago and it is amazing. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and provided excellent service. They offer you a sample dish off all the jumbos they provide. Very good. I had the seafood platter and it was amazing. Everything was so fresh. My wife had the catfish dish she loved it. I would definitely recommend Lost Cajun for seafood lovers.
Went by the Lost Cajun today for lunch. Had the lunch special of shrimp and fries and went for the cajun trio. The shrimp were small but tasty. The lobster bisque was really good. Crawfish etouffee was ok and the rice and beans were ok. Both needed a bit more seasoning, imo. Oh, and the beignet tasted old, kinda stale, but good non the less.
Being from south Louisiana, it’s hard to find Cajun food that’s really authentic. Ate here for the 1st time today and was pleased. After reading people’s reviews I wasn’t expecting a whole lot, but living so close I wanted to give it a shot. This was pretty close and pretty good I must say. I had the CatOuffee (sp? . It is essentially crawfish etouffee over rice with fried catfish on top. My wife had the jambalaya. The catfish was as hot as it could be, fried perfectly and crispy as I like it. My only knock is there wasn’t enough etouffee sauce for the amount of rice. My wife enjoyed the jambalaya, it was the most authentic jambalaya I’ve tasted outside south Louisiana. I will be back.
