Delicious. Good service. Everything is served in Togo containers. Menus are taped to the front table. You order then sit. Too many things looked good to try. Only thing is there was way too much sauce on the mini sashimi. I would've preferred non at all
The deep fried sushi tasted average, The teriyaki chicken breasts were lightly seasoned. The meal and presentation was cafeteria style.
Generally, visting a place that stays empty is a red flag. But I've never had an issue here. Great food, great customer service. What can be a little off-putting is the fact that your food comes out in separate. If they take that away, would definitely be a5 star.
This is my first time ever here and I'm glad I didn't take my whole family. Low rating online reviews a year ago seems like they haven't improved as I would hope today since the owner responds to most reviews and is aware of the poor service. Therecent reviews made me think they did improve, but didn't. Normally my wife and I would go find new places to eat and if it'sgood, we'll be back with everyone. We went to dine in a few hours before closing and we were the only ones there, which isprobably the first clue. The lady seated us and took our order. The menu had several X out items, second clue. I ordered thespicy tonkatsu ramen and my wife ordered the spicy osaka miso ramen. The lady later brought all our food in plastic to gocontainers stack on our table from the appetizers to the noodle bowls. How is this dine in? The soup broth was also in aseparate container and not even hot. It was very weird to pour the broth into our noodle bowls ourselves like making our own. It is better to eat our microwaveable tonkatsu noodles bowls from Costco at home. The wakame salad was good and tasted likefrom Costco. The sashimi mini cup was ok and not fresh because it is also in a plastic to go bowl. I'm glad I didn't order 2other appetizers as I wanted. This is my first experience ever dining in and getting served with to go containers. I washoping this would be a very good place since it is closer to home.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I'm relieved I didn't bring my entire family along. The low ratings from online reviews over the past year suggested that improvements were needed, and despite the owner's responses to most reviews acknowledging the poor service, it appears that things haven't changed as much as I hoped. While recent reviews gave me some hope for improvements, our experience didn't support that. My wife and I enjoy trying out new places, and if we find a gem, we make sure to return with the whole family. We arrived a few hours before closing and found ourselves the only customers—a potential warning sign. A woman seated us and took our order, but the menu was marked with several crossed-out items, which was another red flag. I ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen while my wife opted for the spicy Osaka miso ramen. To my surprise, all of our food arrived in plastic takeout containers stacked on our table, from the appetizers to the noodle bowls. How is this considered dining in? The soup broth was even served in a separate container and wasn’t hot, making it awkward for us to pour it into our bowls ourselves. Honestly, I'd rather eat the microwaveable tonkatsu noodle bowls from Costco at home. The wakame salad was decent and tasted similar to something from Costco. The sashimi mini cup was acceptable but didn’t seem fresh, also served in a plastic takeout bowl. I’m thankful I didn’t order the two other appetizers I initially wanted. This was my first experience of dining in yet being served in to-go containers, and I had hoped this restaurant would be a great find since it's so close to home.
